Pre-Order Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing Starboard UK (Tushingham Ltd t/a) for your watersports equipment needs. By placing a pre-order for our products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a smooth process for both you and our team as we import high-quality watersports equipment.
1. Pre-Order Process
Pre-orders allow you to Starboard products (e.g., windsurf boards, paddleboards, kayak, foilboards, or accessories) before they arrive in our inventory, or are not typically held in our inventory.
Due to the imported nature of our products, pre-orders are subject to a 4-month lead time from the date of your order confirmation. This accounts for manufacturing, shipping, and customs clearance.
2. Deposit and Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of placing your pre-order to secure your product.
The remaining 50% balance is due upon notification that your product is ready for delivery or pickup. You will be contacted via email or phone with payment instructions.
Accepted payment methods include those available through our Shopify checkout (e.g., credit/debit cards, Shopify Pay) and Direct Bank Transfer. All payments must be made in full before the product is shipped or collected.
3. Lead Time and Delivery
The estimated lead time for pre-ordered products is 4 months. This is an estimate and may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as manufacturing delays, shipping disruptions, or customs processing.
We will notify you via email or phone if there are significant delays and provide an updated estimated delivery date.
Once your order arrives, you will be contacted to arrange delivery or in-store pickup (if applicable). Shipping costs, if any, will be calculated at checkout or upon final payment.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
The 50% deposit is non-refundable due to the custom nature of our import process and commitments to our suppliers.
If you cancel your pre-order after the deposit is paid, the deposit will not be refunded. However, you may transfer the deposit to another product (subject to availability) within 30 days of cancellation.
If we are unable to fulfill your pre-order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., supplier issues), we will issue a full refund of all payments made.
5. Product Specifications
Pre-ordered products are described based on supplier information at the time of your order. Minor variations in color, design, or specifications may occur due to manufacturing processes.
We will notify you of any significant changes to the product. If you are unsatisfied with the changes, you may cancel your pre-order and receive a full refund of any payments made.
6. Warranty and Quality
All pre-ordered watersports products come with a manufacturer’s warranty, details of which will be provided upon delivery. Typical warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship for a specified period (e.g., 1 year).
Our team inspects all products upon arrival to ensure they meet our quality standards before shipping or pickup.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Please ensure your contact information (email and phone) is accurate at checkout to receive updates on your pre-order.
Respond promptly to balance payment requests to avoid delays in delivery.
For in-store pickups, please collect your product within 14 days of notification, unless otherwise arranged.
